Ruby Ember Solitaire Ring

Ruby and sapphire are the same mineral — corundum — separated only by the chromium that turns one red. That gives ruby the same 9 hardness, and makes it one of the few coloured stones genuinely suited to an everyday ring.

Ember gives it four slim claws and nothing else. No halo, no accent stones, no shoulder detail. A stone this saturated does not need help, and anything added around it reads as noise.
