Cascade Pavé Anniversary Band

Graduated pavé does something a uniform row cannot — it draws the eye to the centre of the hand and lets the band disappear toward the palm. On Cascade, stone diameters step down in four stages from the top of the ring to the shoulders.

Setting graduated stones is slower work: each seat is cut individually rather than run with a single bur, and the beads have to shrink with the stones or the row looks clumsy at the small end. The taper is what makes it worth doing.
